Stat Growths – Final Fantasy Tactics Geomancer

(Lower is better)
HP: 10 MP: 11 SPD: 100 PA: 45 MA: 50

Overall, Geomancer doesn’t have exceptional stat growths. His HP is pretty good (only beaten by Monk & Mime), his MP is the best among the physical classes, and his PA is decent. Spending a few levels as the Final Fantasy Tactics Geomancer class isn’t going to hurt your character’s stats too much, but you wouldn’t want to switch to Geomancer for the stat growths.

Moveset: Geomancy – Final Fantasy Tactics Geomancer

Geomancy is a pretty cool moveset. It uses both PA and MA in its calculation (MA is weighted more), so it’s useful on physical attackers and mages. Panduan lengkap ms project 2010 bahasa indonesia pdf. Mages will deal more damage with it, but its damage is never going to be extreme. However, it has long range, hits in an AoE, and has a 25% chance to inflict a status effect. So it’s pretty good in a variety of ways. It’s not excellent at any single thing — damage, AoE, crowd control — but it’s pretty good at everything.

The status effects are all very debilitating if they land. Tanglevine is probably the skill you’ll be using most often, since grass is such a common type of terrain, and it inflicts stop, among the most debilitating status effects in the game. But you also have things like Disable (Wind Slash), Petrify (Contortion), and Toad (Torrent). Magma Surge inflicts instant death, but lava only exists on one map and you need a special movement ability to walk on it making it… the single most situational ability in the whole game.

Reaction Abilities – Final Fantasy Tactics Geomancer

Only one option here. Nature’s Wrath counterattacks with Geomancy. It’s not terrible. It’s not good either. You might find some use in equipping it if you don’t have access to anything better yet or for character-theme reasons or something. Tier-wise you could probably make the case that it’s about as good as Monk’s Counter, which is just a standard counter-attack, but maybe a little more effective on mages.

Support Abilities – Final Fantasy Tactics Geomancer

Attack Boost is an excellent support ability. It goes especially well with all of those swordskill-wielding uniques who make their way into your party, but it also does a good job of buffing some generic movesets, like Jump. It’s fairly easy to access and it doesn’t cost much JP. A pretty top tier support skill.

Movement Abilities – Final Fantasy Tactics Geomancer

These are… not good. Lavawalking lets you walk on lava, which only exists on one map (useless), and Ignore Terrain just makes water not lower your movement range. Neither of these skills have anything on the top tier contenders for the movement slot like Teleport and Move +3.

Final Fantasy Tactics Geomancer Overall Assessment

Geomancer is a very usable and interesting class. Geomancy itself provides a cool secondary moveset for a lot of characters who might be looking for a ranged option (if physical) or an instant cast option (if magical). Attack Boost is a top tier support skill that’s definitely worth spending a battle or two in the Geomancer class to obtain. Geomancer’s skills do a great job augmenting Agrias in particular, who gets a lot out of the Attack Boost support skill.

That about covers it for the Final Fantasy Tactics Geomancer class guide. Be sure to check out the Games Section for more content like this and click here for more game guides related to FFT.

Since we've already been introduced to the races, it is time to take it one step farther. Each of the races can be different kinds of people, called jobs. These jobs, like Soldier and Black Mage, each teach the character numerous skills and are strong in some statistics, like HP and MP. There are two different classes of jobs, normal and expert. While normal jobs can be accessed at any time, expert jobs usually require a certain number of skills to be learned in other jobs before they become available.
